Released in late-2017, this whisky is matured in refill American oak barrels and hogsheads, and then finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks for a year. Bottled at 46% abv.
Nose: The higher peat content gives a more sweet and smoky character and a beautiful rounded nose.
Palate: Rich deep vanilla fruit flavours, apricot and pineapple, plump sultana.
Finish: Long and dry with gentle warming spice.
